Overview
The CWDM multiplexes optical signals of different wavelengths into a single optical fiber for transmission, and decompose them into signals of different wavelengths at the receiving end. Because of the advantages of CWDM's wide band and low requirements for system equipment, it has occupied an important position in the access layer of the metropolitan area network.
