Introduction of FWDM
FWDM (Filter Wavelength Division Multiplexing), consists of these three ports: common port, transmission port and reflection port. FWDM is based on Thin Film Filter(TFF) technology for combining and separating optical signals in various network applications.
Features and Applications of FWDM
FWDM features wide bandwidth, low IL, high isolation, environmental stability, high reliability, etc. It is applyed to single-mode fiber communication system and DFA. It also can increase the transmission capacity of a single fiber and realize fiber bidirectional communication. It is widely used in fiber network upgrade, expansion or introduction of new applications, such as broadcasting, telecom, Internet and so on.
